You're invited...

Thursday, February 24, 2022

Dear Officials, Sponsors, Partners, Stakeholders & Friends of Wake up! and Media Representatives,

With this letter we would like to invite you to a meeting on Saturday the 26th of February at 8h30am for you to (re)connect with Wake up!

This month the Wake up! Centre is celebrating it’s 12th anniversary. Over the years the centre has opened its doors to scores of toddlers and preschoolers who after a few years left the centre with the knowledge and skills to start formal education with ease.

Thanks to generous donors the centre has grown from 2 to 4 to 7 classrooms, anticipating a growing need for early education in a sprawling township. However Corona has put that growth on hold. Lockdowns and resulting economic hardship have resulted in a decreasing number of learners and consequently redundancy of staff in 2021.

In 2022 we would like to make a fresh start. We would like to raise our profile, look for new partners and start new ventures, such as offering homework classes, classes for adults and renting out classrooms. Also the board of trustees needs reinforcement and invites individuals with a heart for education willing to commit their time and skills to join the team.

We would like to facilitate a discussion about the future of Wake up! and hear your ideas. Looking forward to meet! Please RSVP by 23.02.2022.

On behalf of the Staff and Board of Trustees,

Ms. Jolandi Seibes (Principal)
